UNC’s T.J. Jiles arrested and charged with assault

North Carolina senior cornerback T.J. Jiles was arrested and charged with assault early this morning following an altercation with a bouncer at a club in downtown Raleigh. WNCN reported Jiles’ arrest.

An officer with Raleigh PD reportedly witnessed Jiles get into a fight with the bouncer and he was subsequently arrested. A senior who primarily plays on special teams, he is being held on $1,200 bond.

Jiles isn’t a huge loss for the Tar Heels’ strong defense, but this is not the time for players to be getting into trouble away from the field. Hopefully, this is over and done with quickly.
