Jordan Spieth wants Texas barbecue at Masters Champions dinner

Jordan Spieth is one of the hottest young golfers in the world right now. Last season, he won the Masters and US Open at just 22 years of age and is currently the number one ranked golfer in the world.

One perk to winning the Masters is that you get to be heavily involved in what is served at the following year’s Masters Champions dinner. Spieth gets to make that decision and him being a Texas boy, it’s no surprise that he wants barbecue at the dinner.

“I’ve still got a bit of time before I have to advise the officials at Augusta National but I am leaning towards a Texas-like barbecue,” Spieth told The Golf Digest. “So it will be a choice of Texan meats as my main meal choice.”

I can only imagine what kind of barbecue dinner the chefs at Augusta National will whip up. Nobody knows barbecue better than someone who grew up with it, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Spieth throws on his “Kiss the Cook” apron and gets behind the smoker himself.
