Purdue’s Rapheal Davis unlikely to play vs. Pittsburgh

The Purdue Boilermakers will face off against the Pittsburgh Panthers this evening, but will be without one of their best players. According to a report from CBS Sports, Rapheal Davis is unlikely to play in the game.

Davis is one of the leaders for the Purdue basketball team this season and is also their best defender.

Throughout the 2015-16 season to this point, Davis ended up averaging 11.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. Davis has been the ultimate all-around player that every team needs to compete in college basketball. He isn’t amazing at everything, but he is solid at everything which makes him a major threat.

Purdue is currently ranked No. 11 in the nation and are going up against a quality Pittsburgh team.

Pittsburgh comes into the evening with a 4-0 record, although they are not ranked at this point in time. They have four teams that they should have beaten, but they are still taking care of business when they are expected to. Beating Purdue would make a huge point for the Panthers moving forward.

Expect a hotly contested game this evening, but not having Davis is going to be a tough loss for Purdue.
