Bill Belichick burns reporter about Gronkowski injury

-

On Tuesday night the New England Patriots released a joint statement with Rob Gronkowski regarding the status of the Pro Bowl tight end’s injury. The statement said that the team would evaluated Gronkowski on a week-to-week basis, and that there was no timetable for his return.

Everything in the statement was pretty straightforward, but a reporter during Belichick’s Wednesday press conference still decided to ask about it.

What happened next was a uncommon Belichick burn.

If you don’t want to watch the video, here is what he said in response to the question courtesy of USA Today.

“We try to do everything we can to help you out. Sorry if you’re offended by that. Just trying toe be cooperative and help you out. So if that’s a problem, just let me know. [Indistinct question] We did what we did. If you have any other questions, you should take it up with our public relations department which is very capably run by Stacy and his staff.”
