LSU star defensive back Tre’Davious White would easily be a first-round pick if he declared for the 2016 NFL Draft, but a tweet from Rand Getlin of NFL Network has suggested that White is “considering” returning to Baton Rouge.
It’s certainly an interesting decision on White’s part, as he proved to be a great shutdown corner this season to the tune of 32 tackles and four passes defended.
For his LSU career, he has 120 tackles and four interceptions to go with 17 passes defended and a forced fumble.
That said, maybe White feels he’s not quite ready for the NFL yet. Maybe he wants to finish his degree before even entertaining the possibility. Maybe he wants one last year with Les Miles now that it’s been confirmed he will be with the team in 2016.
Either way, wherever White ends up playing next season, he will be an immediate impact player.
