Toledo names OC Jason Candle new head coach

The Toledo Rockets were one of the few teams that had a great season and will have a new head coach come next year. That isn’t any fault of their own as Matt Campbell left to take the job at Iowa State.

It looks the Rockets aren’t going to far for their new head coach as they just announced offensive coordinator Jason Candle as their new head guy, according to SI.com. Candle knows the offense well as he has spent the past seven seasons at Toledo.

Candle joined the program in 2009 and was named offensive coordinator in 2012. He also spent six seasons as an assistant at Mount Union before making the jump to the big leagues, so he certainly knows how to win.
