WKU OC Tyson Helton possible option for UGA

It was announced late Tuesday night that Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart would become the new head coach for the Georgia Bulldogs. It looks like they may be completely cleaning house with their coaching staff at this point as well.

Brian Schottenheimer has been running the Bulldogs’ offense this year and they haven’t looked nearly as good as they had with Mike Bobo. It looks they want to revamp their offense and they may be looking at one of the best coordinators to take over the job.

I'm hearing a coach to keep an eye on as new coaches build their staffs esp at #UGA as a possible OC option: #WKU OC/QB coach Tyson Helton.

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers have finished in the top ten offensively in Helton’s two years with the team. They have also averaged 44.3 points per game in the last two seasons and they will be playing for a Conference USA championship this weekend.

What do you think, Bulldog fans? Would this be a good hire for the team going forward?
