Father time foils agility and accuracy. He begins with a bum ACL, moves on to the lower back and then completes the process by deteriorating the rotator cuff. He never misses. Makes every great quarterback an immobile goon, tossing geese like prey, to the hands of opposing defensive backs.
Such is not the case for former Packer-turned Jet-turned Viking Brett Favre; who known for his hard nosed resiliency, was never known for stunning accuracy.
Over the course of a 19-year career (I don’t count his 1st, which would make it 20), Favre threw 336 picks. That’s 17.7 interceptions per season, equating to 1.1 per game.
Do you remember his wild throw that ended the Vikings incredible 2010 season?
That was every day for Brett. And as seen on Jimmy Fallon’s the Tonight Show, he still can’t throw accurately.
Three of Favre’s four spins, were creaky, back-breaking heaves, sailing ten feet over the plates, Fallon tossed into the air.
My advice Brett, is enjoy retirement, don’t try your hand at skeet shooting, and make sure you wear your Wranglers.
