The Georgia Bulldogs ended their regular season on a high note by winning their last four games and getting to nine wins. They have a chance to get to ten wins again this year as they await their destination for the bowl season.
A big part of their success this year was the play of first-year quarterback Greyson Lambert. He transferred from Virginia over the summer and has had a decent season for the Bulldogs, throwing for 1,844 yards and eleven touchdowns against just two interceptions.
He posted a heartfelt tribute to the team on Instagram following his first year with the Bulldogs, his favorite team as a child growing up in Jesup, Georgia.
Although it’s been a roller coaster of a season, this has been my favorite year to date. I can’t thank Coach Richt and his coaching staff enough for allowing me to be a part of such a special team. Thank you to the fans and all of DawgNation for your support. Can’t wait to do everything possible to help get these seniors to 40 wins. Go Dawgs and God Bless! #werunthisstate #idontknowwhattodowithmyhands
Lambert has one more season with the Bulldogs before graduating and moving onto possibly the NFL. If five-star commit Jacob Eason comes and shines well next summer, Lambert could be uprooted from his starting position.
However, he has certainly had a memorable season in Athens.
