5. Ezekiel Elliott, Running Back, Ohio State Buckeyes


Coming into the 2015 season, Ezekiel Elliott was considered to be the front-runner to win the Heisman this season. He was a big part of Ohio State’s championship run last season and he hasn’t disappointed the fans and media that ranked him as a top candidate for the award.

Elliott ended up carrying the football 262 times for 1,672 yards and 19 touchdowns on the season.

There is no question that Elliott belongs in the rankings at this point in the season with the production that he has put up. He has announced his intention to enter the 2016 NFL Draft which is going to be a tough loss for the Buckeyes.

Elliott has had an impressive career with Ohio State and the school and fan base will not forget him anytime soon.
