Sage Northcutt pulled from Tristar because of hard training

According to Jeremy Botter of Bleacher Report, Sage Northcutt has been pulled from training at TriStar gym in Montreal under famed coach Firas Zahabi. The UFC prospect was training hard for his upcoming fight against Cody Pfister at UFC Fight Night 80, but his father decided it was best for him to leave the gym due to the intense regimen.

Northcutt began tiring after a few days because of the pace that Tristar has with their training and it was too much for Northcutt to handle.

Northcutt defeated Francisco Trevino in a lightweight bout to start his UFC career at UFC 192; fans and media members alike have praised him for it and think he could be a megastar.

UFC Fight Night 80 takes place inside The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on Thursday, December 10.

This event will kick off a three-day stretch of events that will end at UFC 194 — the highly-anticipated pay-per-view event which will feature a featherweight title unification bout between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor and a middleweight championship fight between Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold.

With the event set to take place in just a matter of days, you have to wonder how this move will affect Northcutt come fight night.

While he has knockout ability, there is always a possibility of this fight going the distance. That could play a huge factor into the fight and hurt the chances of the Northcutt winning the fight.

Let us know how you think this move will affect him come fight night.
