New Miami coach Mark Richt hinted at his introductory press conference today that five-star quarterback and Georgia commit Jacob Eason could wind up following to the Hurricanes.
Multiple sources, including Matt Porter of The Palm Beach Post and Tim Reynolds of the AP, fueled the speculation on Twitter.
Richt on pursuing UGA commits: "Recruiting's not over until it's over…I'm not going to keep a young man from calling me." Hi, Jacob Eason.

Richt says "recruiting's not over until it's over."
In other words, Mr. Eason, how would you like Miami?

Richt on recruiting players: "Recruiting is not over until it's over." Hello Jacob Eason. "I'm not going to try to steal the board."

Richt could talk about Jacob Eason at UGA because he signed financial aid. A few days later at Miami, Richt can’t.

Eason’s future has certainly been a hot topic of conversation since Richt stepped down at Georgia. The No. 1 pro-style quarterback in the country, Eason has been committed to the Bulldogs since last year and his relationship with Richt is a key reason why.
But now there are rumors that Eason could flip his commitment to Florida even though he signed financial aid papers with Georgia, and now Miami could be in the mix if his relationship with Richt is indeed as strong as it’s rumored to be.
Either way, one thing is certain. If Eason does opt to follow Richt to Miami, the ‘Canes could be in line for immediate contention depending on the rest of the recruiting class.
