Missouri opted to hire defensive coordinator Barry Odom as longtime coach Gary Pinkel’s successor, and nobody appears more excited than the players themselves.
Last night, the team was gathered in the meeting room and was told that a new hire had been made.
Once Odom walked through the door, the reaction on video says it all.
Odom has some big shoes to fill, as Pinkel went 118-73 in 15 years with the Tigers before stepping down this season following a cancer diagnosis.
Still, the fact that Odom got such an excited response out of the team shows that he has their full support and in the hyper-competitive SEC, that is half the battle.
