If there’s one thing that we love along with football, it’s stuff getting destroyed. Thus, when the scoreboard came down at Oklahoma’s Memorial Stadium yesterday, someone was sure to capture it on video.
The stadium will receive a new video board for next season, and a report from The Tulsa World states that the panels from the skeleton of the old scoreboard will be sold off.
Still, it’s a bit sad to see a piece of history in Norman riding off into the sunset.
Of course, OU’s season is far from over. Depending on what happens tomorrow, the Sooners could wind up being Big 12 champions and also go to the College Football Playoff.
