The Alabama Crimson Tide are your SEC champions.
On Saturday evening at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia, Nick Saban’s squad went head-to-head with the Florida Gators. With a win, the Crimson Tide would punch their ticket to their second straight appearance in the College Football Playoff.
That is exactly what they were able to do.
Led by Heisman Trophy favorite Derrick Henry, who rushed for 189 yards and a touchdown on the night, Alabama used a strong second and third quarters to bring home the hardware, 29-15.
With his performance, Henry broke Georgia Bulldogs great Herschel Walker’s single-season SEC rushing record.
Now, it’s on to another run at the national championship for Saban and the Crimson Tide.
