Baylor redshirt junior wide receiver Corey Coleman was announced with the seniors Saturday before the game against Texas, meaning he is all but entering the NFL Draft. Coleman will be 22 before next season, therefore it makes sense for him to enter now rather than wait another year.
The 5-11 190 pounder has posted insane numbers this year for the Bears, catching 20 touchdowns heading into the game versus Texas. Although he hasn’t caught a touchdown in the past three games, his decline in production can be blamed on Baylor’s sudden rash of injuries at quarterback.
Coleman will have a positive projection thanks to his athleticism, but may face questions about his route running at the next level.
Heading into Saturday’s game, Coleman has 67 receptions for 1314 yards and 20 touchdowns.
