Wichita State guard and Kansas transfer Conner Frankamp could wind up making his Shockers debut a game early, per a report from Fox Sports’ Reid Forgrave.
Update from banged-up Wichita St: VanVleet a maybe for StL on Sat. Marshall says Grady still uncertain. Good news: Frankamp eligible on Wed.

Frankamp is still waiting for his first semester grades to post before being cleared, but keep in mind that he wasn’t expected to debut until a week from today. Given how Wichita State has stumbled to a 2-4 start this season and has been rocked by injuries, most notably to point guard Fred VanVleet, Frankamp will be a welcome addition to the offense.
The former four-star recruit from Wichita has a reputation as a floor spacer who can make perimeter shots, which is just what the Shockers need at this point. If he can indeed debut earlier, the Shockers could finally get out of their early season funk and start looking like a contender again.
