Iowa RB Jordan Canzeri won’t return vs. Michigan State

Jordan Canzeri is the Iowa Hawkeyes’ best offensive playmaker this season and was expected to play a huge role in the Big Ten Championship game against the Michigan State Spartans. That hasn’t ended up being the case due to an ankle injury that he suffered early on during the game after just two carries for 12 yards.

According to a report from Yahoo! Sports, Canzeri will not return due to the ankle injury.

Throughout the course of the 2015 season including his two carries for 12 yards tonight, Canzeri has carried the football 178 times for 976 yards and 12 touchdowns. Not having him the rest of the game will not be easy for the Hawkeyes, but they have been playing a tough and defensive brand of football this evening.

Make sure to tune into the game on FOX to catch the remainder of the Big Ten title game.
