Jim Harbaugh thanks D.J. Durkin on Twitter

Former Michigan defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin is now the head coach at Maryland, and he received thanks for his services from the big man on campus himself: Jim Harbaugh.

Michigan’s head coach took to Twitter to thank Durkin for a “job well done.”

Michigan’s defense ranked fourth in total defense under Durkin’s tutelage, and now he’ll look to right the ship for Maryland, a team that has not won a conference title since 2001 and underachieved immensely under Randy Edsall, who was fired at midseason.

Moreover, the fact that he got such a grand endorsement from Harbaugh seems like a good sign that he will enjoy tremendous success as a head coach.
