North Texas to hire UNC OC Seth Littrell as head coach

The North Texas Mean Green had a pretty horrible season this year. The team went 1-11 this year, including a 66-7 loss to the FCS’s Portland State that cost head coach Dan McCarney his job midway through the season.

The team was pretty versed in running the Air Raid offense this season, but it didn’t work very well for them. Right now, it looks like they will be going with another offensive mind as their head coach, but one that has had a lot more success this year.

They are expected to name North Carolina offensive coordinator Seth Littrell their head coach per ESPN’s Brett McMurphy.

The Tar Heels are playing in the ACC Championship Game today and then in a bowl game in just a few weeks. Hopefully this possible hiring doesn’t distract Larry Fedora’s club in their quest to winning their first ever ACC title.
