The North Carolina Tar Heels are currently locked in a battle with top-ranked Clemson at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte for the ACC Championship.
While UNC and the Tigers are the two ACC representatives fighting it out for the conference title, one member of the Tar Heels showed some unity with one of the conference’s top talents and honored him for the big game.
Prior to Saturday night’s championship, Tar Heels wide receiver Ryan Switzer took to Twitter to show his tribute to Pittsburgh Panthers running back James Conner, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma earlier this week.
Switzer wrote the message “#ConnerStrong” on his cleats and told the Pitt star that he is not alone.

That’s a great gesture by the UNC star.
As Conner deals with this difficult time, it has to be refreshing to know he has so much support around the nation — even from his rivals. It also goes to show that Switzer is a class act.
