Move over Michael Jordan, make room for LeBron James, because today the star athlete has signed the largest life-time contract ever in the 44-year history of Nike.
The deal amount is still undisclosed, but believed to be much higher than the 10-year, $300-million contract Kevin Durant signed this summer. It furnishes LeBron among the elite names in NBA history, as both a player and a business mogul.
It also proves the star’s every-growing popularity among consumers.
Playing ping pong with Cleveland and Miami the last five years, LeBron’s sheen among fans had seemingly taken a hit. But the deal cements that perception’s fallacy.
