Oregon basketball posts moving Pearl Harbor tribute

74 years ago today, Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese and sealed the United States’ involvement in World War II. Many lives were lost, and Oregon’s men’s basketball team has posted a moving tribute.

From quoting President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s speech to then reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, this tribute is just amazing. It’s short, sweet and straight to the point about just how appreciative we should be of veterans serving our country.

Even better is that Oregon didn’t have to do this, but did so anyway. For all we know, the karma points could translate to more on-court success.

Even more fitting is that Oregon takes on Navy tonight in Hawaii at the Pearl Harbor Invitational. Tip-off is slated for 9:45 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
