New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been dealing with a knee injury since going out late in the team’s loss last Sunday night. He missed the team’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday and it looks like he could be out a little longer.
According to reports, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said that Gronkowski is unlikely to play this Sunday. He said on NFL Live on Monday that Scott Chandler is likely going to get the start for the second straight week.
Appearing on NFL Live Monday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter called Rob Gronkowski (knee) “unlikely” to return in Week 14 against the Texans. Schefter said Gronk seems unlikely to play “based on the conversations I’ve had” with people who have knowledge of Gronkowski’s health. Scott Chandler is headed for another start.
Chandler caught four passes for 61 yards and a touchdown in the 35-28 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. The Patriots play the Houston Texans on the road on Sunday.
