Every college football fan watches for the AP Top 25 Preseason Poll like a hawk, and fans of two particular teams had reason to be excited prior to the 2015 season.
However, as was pointed out by Rich Cirminiello of Campus Insiders, those two teams went from the preseason poll to no bowl game.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Missouri went from playing in two consecutive SEC Championship Games to stumbling on offense this year, with quarterback Maty Mauk drawing two suspensions, the latter of which was for the season. The Tigers finished 5-7 and also saw the end of the Gary Pinkel era, as the longtime coach stepped down at season’s end after revealing he had been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Georgia Tech’s path was even worse. The Yellow Jackets won the ACC Coastal in 2014 and went 11-3, but could never get their wheels under them in 2015. The team went 3-9 and lost nine of its last 10 games, giving coach Paul Johnson his first losing season since 2010.
Needless to say, here’s hoping that the two teams can hit the reset button and come back at full force in 2016.
