Deshaun Watson came back from a torn ACL to lead the Clemson Tigers to the No. 1 overall seed in the College Football Playoff. He has been one of the best players throughout the entire college football season and has no intentions of stopping now.
Now that he has officially been named a Heisman finalist as well, Sports Illustrated will feature him on their cover for this week.
It is the second time Watson graces the cover of the magazine this season.
Throughout his sophomore season, Watson completed an impressive 69.5 percent of his passes for 3,512 yards, 30 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Clemson wouldn’t be anywhere near the position that they are currently in without Watson leading the way. He also racked up 887 yards and 11 touchdowns throughout the season on the ground.
Now, Watson and the Tigers will have to turn their attention to the No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners as they continue their quest for a national championship.
