Leonard Fournette miffed over Heisman Ceremony snub

For the first part of the season, LSU running back Leonard Fournette was the favorite for the Heisman Trophy. Through the month of November, he struggled with some tough defenses and that made him fall off the top of the leaderboard.

On Monday, the Heisman finalists were announced for Saturday’s ceremony in New York. This year, there were only three finalists instead of the usual five and Fournette was not one of them. He didn’t seem too happy as he took to Twitter and expressed his feelings with one simple emoji.

That certainly must mean that he isn’t happy about the selections. I’m sure a lot of people felt that way as for the longest time, Fournette was the the odds-on favorite for the award.

He shouldn’t be too upset about being snubbed, however. He gets to return for one more season AND he and the Tigers play Texas Tech in the Texas Bowl, a team that has third-worst rushing defense in the country.

I’m sure he will be able to take out his frustrations then.
