The Bowling Green Falcons have been one of the better teams in the MAC for the last few years. The team has made the last three MAC Championship games and won two.
Just over a week ago, head coach Dino Babers was named the new head coach of the Syracuse Orange. The Falcons didn’t wait long to find their new guy and it looks like they are sticking with offense for the time being as it was announced that Texas Tech running backs coach Mike Jinks would be the new guy in charge.

Jinks worked under Kliff Kingsburgy in Lubbock for three years, serving as running backs coach and associate head coach. He helped DeAndre Washington become the team’s first 1,000-yard rusher in more than a decade in 2014 and Washington’s 1,455 yards this year led the Big 12.
Jinks was also one of the most prominent high school coaches in Texas before heading to the collegiate level. He certainly has big shoes to fill as Babers went 18-9 with two division titles and a conference championship with the Falcons, but he seems to be in a great position to succeed.
