Brandon Doughty leads All-Conference USA team

-

Western Kentucky Brandon Doughty has been one of the best players in the Conference USA for the past two seasons. This year, he led the fourth-ranked Hilltoppers offense to their first conference championship since moving to the FBS by throwing for over 4,500 yards and 45 touchdowns.

Because of his accolades, he has been named to the All-Conference USA first team along with a host of other deserving players. Joining Doughty on the offense is Louisiana Tech running back Kenneth Dixon, who is tied with Keenan Reynolds and Montee Ball for the all-time FBS touchdown record.

Defensively, FIU’s Michael Wakefield and Richard Leonard lead the charge. Southern Miss quarterback Nick Mullens landed himself on the second team this year, which is just as respectable an honor.
