Class of 2017 four-star wide receiver Amari Rodgers has de-committed from USC, according to a post on his Twitter.
Rodgers, who currently plays Knoxville Catholic High School, clearly wants to see how the Trojans do next season when coach Clay Helton doesn’t have the word “interim” attached to his status, and he can’t be faulted for that. Things have changed since he committed to former USC coach Steve Sarkisian and he doesn’t want to go to a program where he won’t win and build up his NFL Draft stock.
Rodgers has also received offers from Clemson, LSU, Duke, Ohio, Wake Forest and Vanderbilt, so it’s not as though de-committing from USC leaves him out of options.
