Adolphus Washington issues apology for solicitation citation

Ohio State senior defensive lineman Adolphus Washington issued a heartfelt apology this afternoon following his being cited for solicitation last night.

Washington’s apology came in a statement which was posted to Twitter by ESPN’s Austin Ward.

Washington has a court date set for the 17th and is one of the Buckeyes’ top-rated prospects in terms of NFL stock. He has 142 tackles and 13.5 sacks in his collegiate career and despite that, he is probably facing a punishment from the team for his misdemeanor citation.

Campus Sports will update Washington’s story and status for the Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame as new information becomes available.
