Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Cardale Jones suffered through a down year in 2015. It was a season that hurt his draft stock in a big way, but Matt Miller of Bleacher Report still has faith in him.
Miller voted Jones as the quarterback with the “most potential” of any other player at the position heading into the 2016 NFL Draft.
Throughout the course of the 2015 college football season, Jones completed 62.5 percent of his pass attempts for 1,460 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions.
Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing in at 250 pounds, he has received many different NFL comparisons. Ben Roethlisberger is one name that has come up quite a bit, as is former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper. Jones definitely has the body to become something special, but whether he has the maturity to become a star at the next level is the question.
Looking ahead to April, there are going to be a few different teams at the top of the draft order with needs at the quarterback position.
How high will he end up being drafted? Only time will tell.
