EWU QBs coach is new OC at Hawaii

-

Eastern Washington quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator Zak Hill is headed to the University of Hawaii to be first-year coach Nick Rolovich’s offensive coordinator. SI.com’s Thayer Evans reported the hire on Twitter.

Hill had been at EWU for the past nine seasons and helped develop quarterbacks like CFL star Matt Nichols as well as Vernon Adams Jr., who graduated from EWU before transferring to Oregon in 2015. He will head to a Rainbow Warriors program that has not had a winning season since 2010, when Greg McMackin led the team to a WAC championship.

Last season, under Norm Chow, Hawaii went 3-10 (0-8 MWC). Needless to say, Hill could have his work cut out for him.
