Iowa DB Desmond King wins the Jim Thorpe Award

Iowa cornerback Desmond King was one of the best defensive backs in the country and has been a leader for the Hawkeyes. He was a big reason why the Hawkeyes went 12-0 and won the Big Ten West division and he was honored for it.

King won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation’s best defensive back. He is the first person from Iowa to win the award.

This year, King led the Big Ten with eight interceptions. He also added on 67 total tackles on the year.
