It seems like there is going to be a big change in both Athens and Tuscaloosa in the very near future. Former Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart took the head coaching job at Georgia just over a week ago and it looks like the Crimson Tide aren’t looking too far for his replacement.
According to reports, the Crimson Tide are expected to name Georgia defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt to the same position. It would be a homecoming for Pruitt as he played for the team and was on the staff from 2010-2012.
Pruitt has been with the Bulldogs the last two seasons and also spent time at Florida State and Hoover High School.
