Report: Trevor Knight granted release from Oklahoma, in contact with UGA

This season, the Georgia Bulldogs had a pretty big problem at their quarterback position. They never really had a solid guy to lead their offense and they struggled mightily because of it.

It now seems like they may be getting their guy in the near future. Trevor Knight came on late for the Oklahoma Sooners in his freshman season in 2013, shining for the team in the Sugar Bowl against Alabama as he threw for 348 yards and four touchdowns.

After the success of Baker Mayfield, Knight lost the starting job. He has been granted his release from Oklahoma and has been reportedly in contact with the Bulldogs.

If the Bulldogs are unsuccessful in landing five-star quarterback Jacob Eason, then having Knight to take his spot would certainly be a great thing.
