Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was facing a six-month medical suspension following her knockout loss to Holly Holm in November.
While Rousey was recently spotted saying she is still a few months away from being able to eat an apple, let alone take a punch, it is being reported that she has been cleared to return to training.
Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com shared the news on Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight on FOX Sports 1.
Despite criticism of her head coach, Edward Tarverdyan, Rousey will continue to train under him at Glendale Fighting Club. As for when she will return to the Octagon, the current target date is July 2016 for a rematch with Holm at UFC 200.
