Southern Miss head coach Todd Monken did a terrific job turning the Golden Eagles around this season, leading them to a 9-2 season and the Conference USA West division championship. He gave his team a memorable 2015 season and he is helping his seniors get their lives after college going
According to the Hattiesburg American, Monken, who was recently named the Conference USA Coach of the Year, bought all 18 of his seniors suits for their first job interviews after school. He talked about giving the players them something to take with them besides their memories.
“I’ve always thought, ‘What could we do for our departing seniors that they can take with them?’” he said. “Something beyond their memories. And so (the suits) are really for their first (job) interview.”
If Monken keeps doing things like this, there is no doubt kids will want to continue playing for him in the future. These players may not get a shot in the NFL, but they certainly have a good headstart towards their career.
