UCLA K Ka’imi Fairbairn wins Lou Groza Award

The UCLA Bruins had a great asset to their team this year as kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn was a terrific player for them. He was one of the best scorers in the country and he was recognized for it tonight.

Fairbairn won the Lou Groza Award that is given out to the nation’s best placekicker.

He was nearly perfect on the season, going 20-23 on field goals and was a perfect 44-44 on extra points. He also kicked a UCLA record-long 60 yard field goal this year.

Fairbairn is the first UCLA kicker to win this award since Kai Forbath.
