4-star WR Darion Anderson de-commits from Georgia

Another recruiting casualty has happened in Athens as four-star wide receiver Darion Anderson took to Twitter today to announce his de-commitment from the University of Georgia.

Anderson, who currently plays for Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Georgia, near Macon, committed to the Bulldogs back in March when Mark Richt was still head coach and joins quarterback Bailey Hockman as the second player today to de-commit from the program. The offense-oriented Richt stepped down last month and has since moved on to Miami, and Georgia has hired the defense-minded Kirby Smart as his successor.

Thus, with how the team’s offense will look far from a certainty, Anderson is at the very least keeping his options open. On top of Georgia, he has offers from Boston College, Georgia Southern, Cincinnati and Kentucky, among others.
