Penn State DE Carl Nassib wins Lott IMPACT Trophy

|

One of the more coveted awards in college football is the Lott IMPACT Trophy. Whoever receives the award should feel honored as it is given out to the one player that exudes the best academic prowess, community service, and team leadership.

This year, Penn State defensive end Carl Nassib was awarded the trophy named for Hall of Fame defensive back Ronnie Lott. He beat out Jeremy Cash, Tyler Matakevich, and Joshua Perry for the award.

As a walk-on redshirt senior, Nassib led the nation in sacks and also won the Lombardi Award this year. Penn State will receive a $25,000 donation to their scholarship program.
