Army-Navy game draws highest rating in nearly 20 years

Last weekend’s Army-Navy game was surprisingly one of the best games we have seen out of the rivalry in recent years. The Midshipmen still went on to win their fourteenth straight over the Black Knights, but they surely got all they wanted from their biggest rival.

The game is always one that people love to tune in to, simply because it is the only football game on national television that day. However, this year’s game was very successful as it drew in the best ratings it has seen since 1996, according to Awful Announcing.

The site reported that the game drew a 5.1 television rating, higher than last year’s 4.5 rating. The 1996 rating was at almost 5.0, a very good rating for that time.

It is one of the most-watched football games every year, but this year was especially one of the more exciting games we have seen, not just from this rivalry, but from the entire 2015 college football season.
