Jalen Tabor is set to take over the Florida Gators’ No. 1 cornerback role next season with Vernon Hargreaves III heading into the NFL Draft. Many believe that he is going to be an NFL talent after next season and he has left a lofty goal for the 2016 college football season that would further prove that talent.
He took to his personal Twitter account to mention that he wants to be a consensus All-American next year.
During the 2015 season, Tabor compiled 33 tackles, a sack, four interceptions, two defensive touchdowns and 14 defensed passes.
Those numbers show that he does have the potential to become whatever he puts his mind to. As long as he works hard and improves like he is capable of, Tabor will be able to reach his goal of being a consensus All-American.
It is great to see young players step up and set high goals for themselves.
Tabor obviously wants to get better and be one of the best that the game has to offer.
Florida is on track to get back into contention to get into the College Football Playoff field. Jim McElwain has gotten back to teaching the fundamentals of the game and he has the playmakers to back that up.
Tabor is one of the best players on the team and will need to take over a leadership role as well.
Tabor will come through with yet another huge season and will be exactly what the Gators need him to be. Earning the All-American title will be the cherry on top for his season.
