Conor McGregor is one of the most popular athletes in any sport at this point in time and there is a chance that he will work alongside of Mark Wahlberg in a film. That could happen in the future, but there is no guarantee that the two will end up making something happen.
In a recent interview, Wahlberg mentioned that he liked McGregor and thought he could become a great actor at some point in the future as long as he found the right role.
“Yeah, we talked about him for something,” Wahlberg revealed. “I like him. Absolutely. The right role he could be great. Very possible (I’d work with him.)”
McGregor has already built a diehard fan base from his fighting career. He has been one of the most dominant fighters that the world has seen and the UFC absolutely loves him. Throughout his young career, he has shown a bit of confident arrogance, which has made him a loved and hated fighter.
Despite some of the arrogance that he has shown, he has not allowed his success to go to his head. He is always working to get better and never takes any opponent lightly. Ronda Rousey showed us recently that even the best can lose, but McGregor seems to have a different mentality when he walks into his fight.
Just thinking about him being in a movie is an intriguing thought. He could make for a perfect villain in a movie, although it would all depend on how Wahlberg chose to use him.
Expect to hear more news come out about McGregor and a potential movie career in the future.
