The Arizona Wildcats were expected to be one of the best teams in the PAC-12 South this year, but, unfortunately, that didn’t turn out how they would have hoped. The team went 6-6 and just barely sneaked into the New Mexico Bowl against the New Mexico Lobos.
It looks like two of their biggest pieces could be back for the game as both linebacker Scooby Wright III and quarterback Anu Solomon have been cleared for the game. Both of those reports were confirmed by Michael Lev of The Orange County Register via Twitter.
Wright has been dealing with injuries all season as he missed part of the year with a torn meniscus in his knee and then injured his foot later down the road. Solomon suffered a concussion against UCLA, which caused him to miss the Stanford game and the issue re-occurred, causing him to miss the Arizona State game as well.
Wright has been one of the top defensive players for the Wildcats the last two seasons. Solomon had a decent year as a sophomore, throwing for 2,338 yards and 18 touchdowns against just four interceptions.
