TUF 22 Finale ratings: Main card peaks with over 900,000 viewers

TUF 22 Finale was the second of three UFC events in three straight nights and pulled pretty solid ratings. The main card had an average live audience of 883,000 viewers and the peak viewership for the event came during the main event with 991,000 viewers on FOX Sports 1.

TUF 22 Finale took place on Friday, December 11th in Las Vegas at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan.

Frankie Edgar and Chad Mendes served as the main event in a highly-anticipated featherweight showdown which Edgar took via first-round knockout. Ryan Hall vs. Artem Lobov served as the “TUF 22” lightweight tournament final in the co-main event, with Hall claiming the TUF 22 crown.

The main card viewership is down 11 percent compared to last fall’s finale main card (989,000). However, UFC was up 2 percent (552,000 vs. 539,000) in the Adult 18-49 demographic with this event. Also, this event was up 28 percent compared to the viewership of the Spring 2015 finale (691,000) and 42 percent better among Adult 18-49 (390,000).

UFC Fight Night 80 peaked in the main event with 991,000 viewers for the main event at 1 a.m. ET.

The UFC returns to television this Saturday with UFC on FOX 17 that is headlined by Donald Cerrone vs. Rafael Dos Anjos.
