Arizona State dismisses two players after burglary arrests

The Arizona State Sun Devils are now without two players for the future after the team dismissed them following their arrests earlier this week. The two players were arrested on burglary charges and they are no longer a part of the Sun Devil team.

According to College Football Talk, sophomore safety Jayme Otomewo and junior defensive tackle Deonte Reynolds were arrested Sunday after, allegedly, entering an off-campus residence without permission. The pair of players were caught with credit cards stolen from the home and arrested.

It didn’t take long for the team to respond. The two players are faced with a charge of second-degree burglary and head coach Todd Graham dismissed the players shortly after their arrests.

Otomewo released a statement that showed his remorse for committing the crime.

Otomewo was a three-star member of the team’s 2013 class. He took a redshirt that year, but didn’t see any action in 2014 or 2015. Reynolds was a JUCO transfer who took a redshirt this year.
