USC safety Su’a Cravens declares for NFL Draft

USC safety Su’a Cravens has long been considered one of the top defensive backs for the NFL Draft next year. He may not be a first round pick, but he is sure going to be able to come in and make an immediate impact for whatever team picks him up.

He is a junior this year and it was unclear if he would leave or come back for one more year. He cleared that up on Wednesday as he confirmed via Twitter that he would enter the NFL Draft.

Cravens has been a big piece for the Trojans this year and has been for his entire career. The Trojans were happy to have them on their way to the PAC-12 Championship Game.

In three years in Pasadena, Cravens recorded nearly 200 total tackles, nine interceptions, and 10.5 sacks. He isn’t the traditional safety as he can play up as an outside linebacker, something any multiple-front defense would love to have.
