Video: Colin Cowherd ‘annoyed’ that Bo Ryan retired midseason

The college basketball world was shocked Tuesday night when longtime Wisconsin head coach Bo Ryan announced he would be retiring and it would be a decision to go into effect immediately. The team will be led by Associate head coach Greg Gard the rest of the season.

It doesn’t seem like everyone is supporting Ryan’s decision to retire at this point right now.

FOX Sports radio host Colin Cowherd, who has never been shy about stating his opinion, talked about being “annoyed” because of Ryan retiring midseason as opposed to waiting until the end of the year.

During his press conference Tuesday night, Ryan did say that he had been planning retirement for some time. He also said that he had talked with his coaches about doing it around final exam time.

It is always better to stick around with a team through the tough times, but you can’t blame him for making such a tough decision right now.
