Bethe Correia set to fight Jessica Eye at UFC Fight Night 82

After taking some time off from her devastating loss to Ronda Rousey at UFC 190, Bethe Correia is returning to competition. According to Combate, Correia is scheduled to fight Jessica Eye at UFC Fight Night 82.

Correia holds a 9-1 pro-MMA record. In her last six bouts, she’s beat Juliette De Souza Silva in June of 2013 and Eric Paes in June of 2013, both by unanimous decision. She beat Julie Kedzie at UFC Fight Night 33 by split decision, which was her UFC debut. She beat Jessamyn Duke at UFC 172 by unanimous decision and then knocked out Shayna Baszler at UFC 177 by second-round TKO. She was finished in just thirty-four seconds at UFC 190 by Ronda Rousey.

Eye (11-4) is currently on a two-fight losing streak. In her last five bouts, she’s 2-3-1. She beat Carina Damm in June of 2013 by unanimous decision. In her UFC debut at UFC 166, her fight with Sarah Kaufman was called a no decision after the fight was overruled by the commission. She lost to Alexis Davis at UFC 170 by split decision but rebounded with a win over Leslie Smith at UFC 180 by TKO. She lost to Miesha Tate at UFC on Fox 16 by unanimous decision. She lost to Julianna Pena at UFC 192 by unanimous decision.

UFC Fight Night 82 takes place at Pittsburgh’s Consol Energy Center on February 21st, 2016 and the main card will air on FOX Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass. The main event of this event has not been announced.
